ASSEMBLE THE CAPACITORS WITH THE GROUNDS BENT AROUND THE
BODY TO CONTACT
EACH OTHER AND A BLACK WIRE ABOUT 8" LONG. ATTACH A RED WIRE TO THE
LARGEST CAPACITOR, GREEN TO THE NEXT LARGEST, GRAY TO THE THIRD LARGEST
ETC. SOLDER EACH WIRE WITH A LAP JOINT SEEING THAT THE POSITIVE LEADS
ARE NOT SO CLOSE TO THE VINYL SKIN THAT THEY MELT THROUGH. BEND THE
LEADS CLOSE TO THE BODY AFTER THEY HAVE COOLED. WRAP THE BODY WITH PVC
TAPE WHEREVER THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY OF A SHORT.
ENDS ARE FABRICATED OF HEAVY PAPER SUCH AS FILE FOLDER.
CUT TO SIZE
WITH A 5/8" PUNCH ( OR SCISSORS ) AND THE HOLE FOR THE WIRES WITH A 1/4"
PUNCH IN THE SECOND END. USE A LENGTH OF 5/8 DOWEL TO HOLD END IN PLACE
WHILE THE HOT GLUE HARDENS. INSERT THE PREASSEMBLED CAPACITORS, FEED THE
WIRES THOUGH THE 1/4" HOLE AND PUSH THE END INTO THE PAPER TUBE. FINISH
THE JOB BY SEALING THE WIRE END WITH HOT GLUE. BROWN HOT GLUE MAKES A
NICE TOUCH IF A LITTLE MORE EXPENSIVE.
